Geeks Ease Cross-Border Traffic

1 June 2005 in Programs by Geekcorps

Geekcorps volunteers are working with the East and Central Africa Trade Hub to create a common interface between systems to share and store information between the Kenyan and Ugandan border control agencies in Mombasa, Nairobi, the Malaba Border Post and Kampala.

A team of four Geeks are doing field research on existing systems, and are designing a platform which will meet international standards as per World Customs Organization rules in the Revised Kyoto Convention.
