With its partner Population Media Center (PMC), Geekcorps Mali has made Cesiri Tono, a 144-episode radio miniseries about child trafficking and exploitation, available for download in MP3 format. The show can be found at www.radio.org.ml/cesiritono.

Funded by USAID, Cesiri Tono is produced in Bambara, a widely spoken language in the region. The show focuses on the topic of child trafficking and exploitation in West Africa. Cesiri Tono was broadcast by hundreds of radio stations across Mali, Ivory Coast, and Burkina Faso, where Bambara is spoken.

PMC approached Geekcorps to help create a website for Cesiri Tono that would ensure that communities across Africa would have continued access to the episodes over the Internet after the radio broadcasts concluded. On the website it is possible to download each of the 144 episodes in MP3 format and to read summaries of each episode in either French or Bambara.

The website can be found at www.radio.org.ml/cesiritono

Geekcorps is proud to have been given the chance to help PMC with this important mission and would be happy to engage in similar partnerships in the future.
