Volunteer Meg Ross takes second tour in Ghana
7 July 2006 in Programs, People, MISTOWA by Geekcorps
Designer Meg Ross volunteered in 2005 with the MISTOWA project in Ghana, where Geekcorps partners with the International Fertilizer Development Corporation (IFDC) to get real-time agricultural market information available to market players who can use it. (See the MISTOWA website for more information.)
After taking some time off to travel all over Africa, Meg came back for more in 2006. She started working again in February, and plans to stay in Accra until December. Here’s an update on what she has been doing for MISTOWA:
“Top recent activity has been the development and design of three trifold MISTOWA brochures,” she says (see top photo above). Meg was responsible for the entire design and layout. She also designed three posters highlighting the goals of IFDC, and of the IFDC projects MIR and MISTOWA.
On top of that, Meg’s been working on rebranding existing MISTOWA materials to conform to new USAID branding guidelines, designing other printed collateral for MISTOWA and partners, like business cards, letterhead, folders, newsletters, etc.
Her ongoing projects include a publication on ABIPs (AgriBusiness Information Points, the new way for MISTOWA to distribute market info). Geekcorps is looking for IT business experts to help get the ABIPs going this fall — so register now!
