Geekcorps mentioned in S.F. Chronicle

22 September 2006 in Programs, Press, Mali by Geekcorps

Wednesday’s San Francisco Chronicle published an article about Intel’s new high-speed wireless network in Parintins, Brazil. The network is a test of WiMax technology.

In the article, Geekcorps Director Wayan Vota talks about Geekcorps’ similar work in Mali, particularly in Bourem Inaly, and the corporate interest it generated — enough for Via Technologies to send an international marketing manager to Bourem Inaly to see it in person.
