PICTA launchAs Middle East business resource AME Info reported on Wednesday, Lebanese government, NGOs and international NGOs, including IESC, joined together to launch the PCA ICT Academy (PICTA), which will create IT learning centers in southern Lebanon.

IESC will provide the equipment needed to establish Internet connectivity for the PICTA Centers, and will also supply key technical assistance services, via local volunteers, in order to support the centers’ wireless Internet connectivity. The volunteers will train the center managers on the basics of managing and supporting the operation, assist in handling maintenance and support calls, and help troubleshoot technical issues regarding the wireless setup and connection.
