Calling all designers: Logo Contest Re-Opened!
13 November 2006 in News by Geekcorps
We received a number of entries in our recent logo design contest. Despite these entries’ strengths and merits, we still haven’t found quite the logo we’re looking for. So we’re reopening the contest! We are looking for a new logo, and we want your ideas! Here again are the rules (and prizes!). Read on for more details …
IESC Geekcorps needs a new logo that will convey what we do: promote international development through information and communication technology.
The following elements should be part of the logo:
- A graphic element that will support our branding efforts, and can be used in combination with a textual element or independently
- A textual element (”Geekcorps”)
As an added challenge, all versions of the logo must:
- Incorporate the IESC logo (shown at right)
- Use colors that coordinate with those of the IESC logo
Bonus points if you can suggest elegant ways to include our tagline! (”promoting stability and prosperity in the developing world through information and communication technology”)
You may submit your work one of the following ways:
1. (Preferred) Post your images on Flickr with the following tag: geekcorpslogo
2. Email them to geekcorps AT iesc.org as JPG or GIF attachments
Most importantly, the cool prizes!
- A Garmin eTrex GPS (so you never get lost on your way to Timbuktu again)
- Your very own IESC Geekcorps t-shirt, printed with your logo
- All the fame and publicity that comes from a mention on the IESC Geekcorps website
Contact us at geekcorps AT iesc.org if you have any questions.
Contest Deadline: November 27th
